Over the past four years, Leek Rugby Club has gone from strength to strength. Our mini, junior, and girls’ sections continue to grow, producing talented players with a real passion for the game. Meanwhile, our senior section has thrived, regularly fielding three senior teams plus Colts enjoying plenty of success on the pitch.

A huge milestone has been the promotion of our 2nd XV to Level 8 rugby. This achievement is key to bridging the gap between squads and providing a competitive platform for player development. Our 1st XV has also held firm at Level 5 for two seasons after the back to back promotions, an outstanding accomplishment, but we want to push even further!

Building on this momentum, our coaching team and committee are committed to driving progress. We are investing in additional resources to strengthen our rugby environment, ensuring our players reach their full potential and raising the standard across the senior section. To support this, we will be enhancing skill development, player welfare and strength and conditioning.

An important part of this initiative includes player coaches, who will provide focused support, enabling us to deliver a more comprehensive training structure. Additionally, we are prioritising the transition of colts players into senior rugby, ensuring they align with our playing philosophy and strengthening the future of the club, this will also come under our player coach remit.

Our vision is clear: Leek Rugby Club aims to become the leading community rugby club in Staffordshire.
