Saturday sees the league season reach its climax with our 2nd XV going in search of the win that will secure them the championship and our Colts in semi-final knockout action.
Our 1st XV welcome high flying Manchester to Altrad Park for the final game of their Regional 1 NW season. With Level 5 status already secured, the Moorlanders will be looking to bag one last win to help push them to another record-breaking league position.
Manchester won the return fixture on the opening day of the season and currently sit third in the table with 16 wins from their 21 games, but the hosts will be looking to end the campaign on a high following their strong showing in the second half of the season, winning seven of their last 12 games.
Meanwhile, in the game of the day, our 2nd XV head to Eccleshall knowing that a bonus point win will see them crowned champions of Counties 3 Midlands NW. Newcastle currently sit top of the table, having completed their campaign, but the blue and whites can edge ahead and claim the silverware with a big win.
And our Colts welcome neighbours Stoke to Altrad Park for the early kick off with a place in the Staffordshire Colts County Plate final up for grabs. Our 3s are currently in the pool for a game after being handed a home walkover in their final merit table fixture after Shrewsbury withdrew.
The Altrad Park bar will be open from midday as we have a bumper day lined up to celebrate another successful league season.
We will be welcoming our vice-presidents for a pre-match buffet, as well as long-time club sponsors and match day sponsors Leek Building Society. We thank them as well as our match ball sponsors Ornua and our gameday nutrition sponsors Fit Bodies Gym & Fitness.
We will have a hog roast running from 4pm kindly provided by High Peak Hog Roast and sponsored by Leek Storage Solutions.
And following the games we will have not one, but two, live bands playing us long into the night with the Awesome Twosome leading us off, followed by a set from The Merkins.
With the weather set fair please head on down to Eccleshall or Altrad Park and cheer on the lads one last time this league season. As we are expecting a large crowd please do help to share lifts, take public transport/taxis and walk in where possible. If driving, please respect our neighbours and park responsibly.
